May 2016 favourites

Obviously it is that time of the month again where I share with you my favourites of May, for a blogger to keep up with a favourites and having time to fit it in for 5 months straight along with a Primark haul every month as well is a huge achievement. This month I have tried a whole bunch of new things and purchased a lot of new homeware and clothing for me to try out. This month I actually have a whole lot more things in my 'OTHERS' category because I have made a lot of adjustments to my bedroom and also tried to do a lot more activities with Nathan before he goes to Germany in September. ENJOY!

Beauty

As usual this month I have made an effort to try new beauty products, because we all know when I say beauty I mean makeup because I am an addict. I have been loving the P.S PRO range from Primark and also a few MAC goodies which keeps the drugstore and high end lovers happy. As I have stated in the past I am both a high street and high end lover I'm not going to only ever wear MAC foundation or NARS because well that's just silly when there are some amazing products similar to them in drugstores like Boots and Superdrug.

Mac's Vanilla Pigment £16
Maybelline Colour 24hr Tattoo in 'on and on bronze' £4.99 Boots

This month these two little products combined are my holy grail. I have been using the colour tattoo all over the lid and almost in the tear duct with a warm brown blended into the crease. It is honestly so perfect and I will be buying a new one of these soon as I am worried it will hit the bottom of the pot. This is super creamy and a gorgeous bronze with a shimmer coming through, without it being like diamond sparkly! This is honestly my favourite out of all my colour tattoo's as it super easy to use as you can just apply it with your finger and it is a simple colour to work with. In regards to the pigment, this was my first ever MAC pigment and it was the best choice I have ever made when buying from MAC. Described as a 'soft-ivory beige' it is pretty accurate as a white gold with warm undertones and a golden yellow sheen. This is a multi purpose product great for highlighting but for this look I use it on a tiny brush and dab it into the inner corner and it just makes my eyes pop. This has been my go to eye look all month and I LOVE IT!

Brush Egg £1.99 Amazon

So I originally bought this because it came with an oval makeup brush that are being raved about everywhere and before I spend £34 in MAC on a pro one I really wanted to try just a standard one and it's actually amazing! Anyway, the brush egg actually helps clean makeup brushes and it has honestly halved my brush cleaning time to around 15/20 minutes depending on my amount of brushes.

PS. PRO Illuminating Primer £5
PS. PRO Longwear Mineralize Foundation £5

You know what I was super impressed by this range. I bought quite a few pieces from this range from lipsticks, lipglosses, and then base products like the ones above. I first bought the foundation and it hit me after a while that it actually smells like MAC Studio Fix Fluid maybe it is just me but it does it's the most gorgeous smell ever. It is longwear and rather full coverage you don't need a huge amount of product for this. I have honestly used this like most days of May since I bought this and buying the primer made things even better. This actually for me does what it says and illuminates the skin and works wonder when used with the foundation on top. My only downfall is the fact the tube isn't completely full of product as you can see from the way the light is shining on it but there is a lot. Anyway, this is in my good books this new range from Primark and I am honestly impressed.

MAC Double Shot  Amplified Lipstick £15.50

I finally purchased my 10th MAC lipstick and it was my best choice as of yet. The only downfall when buying this lipstick was the girl in MAC she was like so unhelpful and like blunt that I couldn't be bothered with her. I have a list of like lip pencils and lipsticks I want to try out and I got a lip liner mixed up with a lipstick name and she really rude and bluntly said 'that's not a lipstick that's a lipliner' and I was like 'alright sorry' and tried to be friendly. I am honestly debating going back and complaining, because she was really rude in a way and secondly I don't think she has a clue of lipsticks shades because I wanted Stone originally and she denied there was such a colour but the official website says there is and I have seen other bloggers and Youtubers so about it. SO HA REBECCA! Anyway, this lipstick was the second on my list and it is described as a full bodied mocha cream and I do agree with this. Because I am pale it actually looks darker on me but I seriously love it.

Fashion

Fashion this month has consisted of more comfy attire I suppose as I have become more of a jeans and a top kind of girl rather than a skirt everyday like I used too. I am really enjoying at the minute wearing just jeans and a dressy top and like a kimono, sleeveless jacket/cardigan. It is such an easier look when I am either shopping and not worrying about my skirt blowing up which is the worst or even it being too short. I have become more confident in my style showing my arms which a super big thing as I never did that a year ago.

Pep & Co Jeans £7 each

Call me whatever but my mum picked me these up to try as New Look jeans were always dead baggy on the lower leg for me so I was like 'merh I need to go jeans searching' so when my mum picked me these up I gave them a try and they honestly fit me perfectly. They really make my calves look good too so why should I complain. As I stated in my makeup comment I am not too high standard when it comes to clothes like I won't be kind of picky and say 'I ONLY SHOP AT TOPSHOP' because I am a bigger girl and there are some nice things in other shops. Sorry not sorry...

Khaki sleeveless trench coat £10 Primark

This is one of my favourite purchases recently, I literally set my eyes on it and thought 'I need to go back for that jacket' and I did. It fit me so perfectly and goes well with jeans and a top such as a cut shoulder top or a blouse. It comes to just above my knees as according to Nathan I have 'stumpy legs' because apparently 5'7 is small haha. Anyway, this is just my absolute favourite along with my tassel cardigan I bought recently which you can see below in the next post.

Tasselled clothing (both from Primark)

I have such a huge obsession with tasseled clothing at the minute from jackets like the kimono style cardigan above £9 and the tasseled burgundy t-shirt £6 which I am completely in love with. When your bored tassels are always something to keep you amused especially if you are me haha. I just think they add something to an outfit and especially with a lot of festival themes coming for the summer tassels are definitely not going out of fashion anytime soon.

Nike Free Runs £75 JD

I bought these maybe 2 years ago but I have recently come back to these and I love them. There is nothing worse than gym trainers that are heavy and hard to get on where as these fully support my feet. I bought new Nike ones recently but then I remembered how much I love these and how they feel like they are walking on air. I also think they are appealing visually especially the layer on top of the trainers that keep the laces in even though they don't need laces. Im guessing it is just for visual effect but me being the girly girl I am I love the pink and the grey mix.

Elephant jewellery Primark/Accesorize

As we all know if you have seen my blog recently I love elephants from jewellery, clothing, bears and homeware. So obviously my love for this big beautiful animal has progressed to my jewellery taste as I have hunted down pieces like the ones above. The two pieces in the middle are in fact from Accessorize with the bracelet in the brown thread for £5 and the necklace for £10 and they are so perfect and match together perfect. The two necklace on the left and right are from Primark with the left being £2 and the metallic tiny elephant necklace was just £1.50 and it probably my favourite of all 4 as it has copper elephants that is just perfection haha.

Other

As mentioned this month I have really tried to go out a lot more and enjoy a lot more things especially with Nathan as he is going to Germany for a month with work. It was originally 4 months over Christmas and New Year, a month or two around September so a month to me is just fine. Anyway, we have been taking a lot more walks around country parks and making an attempt out more on proper dates such as the cinema and the odd meal. As well as this I also have a few homeware favourites that I really love at the minute which makes this section of my favourites probably the largest yet haha.

Ice Cream Vans

Of course during our walks we treat ourselves to an ice cream, only of course on cheat day or when we have trained really hard at the gym. Honestly though who can pass up a 99 with a flake and raspberry sauce? I can't and they are even better a double cone with the blue sherbet those are just perfection. There is nothing nicer than holding hands with Nathan while his dog Bertha runs around in the rivers and down all the trails while we eat ice cream. It may sound very picturesque but in those moments things are just peaceful and we are super happy, I always cherish moments like that just because I never know when Nathan will be here. But hey ice cream just tastes really yummy, I can't help having such a sweet tooth...

Holographic travel bag £4 Primark

During my recent Primark haul I picked up this little beauty. Think mermaid magic and shiny this bag is just a complete dream, it carries all my makeup and my necessities like deoderant and my shower products. I was looking for a while for something like this as I have a see through one but when you need to hold 'woman things' then you don't want a see through bag exactly so this is perfect and it's just GORGEOUS! This is honestly so big and for the price I had no problem paying it as I know it will last me a while, plus it is perfect for mine and Nathan's holiday.

Flamingo light £10 Primark

I was having the hardest time deciding between this one and the copper pineapple light that they had in. However, I thought that because I already have a lot of pineapple decor in my room and very little flamingo pieces so this was perfect. Once I had found the perfect set up for it I was completely in love with how well it lit up my room and also it made my room look so summery and tropical. As I mentioned in a previous blog post about trends I am currently in love with no one is really sure why flamingoes, pineapples and palm trees are popular clearly something to do with the thought of being on a beach somewhere hot rather than stuck at a desk.

Ombre pineapple picture frame £4.99 New Look

Rolling on with the pineapple theme this picture frame just jumped out at it, it is literally so detailed and I intend to put a picture of me and Nathan inside or me and my mum. I'm not 100% sure yet but it literally just makes me think of summer and it fits perfectly into my room as my room is a lot of pastel colours such as white and pink. The geometric aspect of the frame is so appealing to me as I love geometric patterns and the realistic aspect of the leaves on top makes it all that more cute.

Cactus picture holder £1 Primark

This was also featured in my recent Primark haul as I was super happy Primark started doing a range of cactus homeware. I literally snatched this up without checking the price but was even happier knowing it was a pound as I needed something to hold my favourite polaroids in without sticking them to a wall or a board. I just love this as it adds some bright colour to my room without being anything too brash, it looks after my pictures perfectly so I can look at that cheesy grin everyday.

Sea Salt & Lavender candle £4 Primark

After finding out this little beauty smells very similar to the mystery smell I always smelt when visiting Hollister I went mad for this candle scent. I have a smaller version of this candle on my vanity desk and it is almost gone so I thought for £4 this was such a bargain because it is HUGE! It just smells so good and fresh, that is my all time love when looking for scents such as body sprays, perfumes and candles. If it smells fresh there is a chance I will love it, I suppose it comes from loving the smell of men's aftershave and stuff like I find it a really comforting scent. This month I was burning the smaller version of this candle none stop so with a 60 hour burning life this should last be a whileeeeee...

Candle basket £7.99 TK Maxx

Linking to my love for candles I have a basket on my shelf holding my favourite films such as Beauty and the Beast and The Hunger Games series. However, this basket is used more for my bigger candles such as my Yankee Candles and my copper candle I bought recently from Home Bargains. I loved this idea after I saw this on a Youtuber's room tour so I wanted to place my stray candles somewhere special like in a basket. I love this little copper shopping basket that I bought from TK MAXX and it was originally holding my lanterns but after a move around my bedroom this became the perfect place for my candles. I just found this really sweet and visually pleasing as I have a lot of copper baskets in my room that hold things so this was a cute take on a simple idea.

Cinema Dates

Coming up to another activity that me and Nathan tried a lot more in May, Cinema Dates! We saw two films this month 'Xmen Apocalypse' and 'Captain America : Civil War' I actually really enjoyed both if I am honest. Both were obviously Nathan's idea as he did see 'The Hunger Games : Mockingjay Part 2' for me in November so I am obviously making up for it now haha. I just love having some bonding time with Nathan even though he jokes around hogging the popcorn and I end up resting my head on him it is just a really nice moment. A little bit of honesty for you all, before I met Nathan I was terrified of cinema's and going to watch films as it is a dark room with people I don't know that's how I saw it. On our second date me and Nathan went to see 'The Maze Runner' to try and get me out of my bubble so this was perfect and ever since I have enjoyed cinemas more. Before this however, I was like 'no I am not going to see an action film that is so boring' but I have actually watched American Sniper, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Captain America: Civil War, Xmen Apocalypse and Deadpool which to me are all action/super hero films which bored me before. I suppose it is kind of watching a film to make your partner happy because they will happily watch one for me so Cinema Dates have been fun for me this month.

The Strain

Nathan actually introduced me to my TV favourite this month, we began watching this earlier this month maybe end of April early May and I was hooked. I found it so fascinating when Nathan said 'it's like zombie vampires' and I was a little sceptical so watching the first episode I was fully fixed. I am one of them girlfriends that has to ask questions to know I am understanding fully but Nathan most of the time is more than happy to tell me if I missed something or misunderstood. I just love this show as I am a huge fan of other shows like The Walking Dead, CSI and Dexter. I cannot wait to start watching Season 2 because knowing the time I finish Season 3 will have aired then I have another series to keep up on. I mean if it has taken me six years to start watching Pretty Little Liars I was just a little late for this one haha.

Well that is all my lovelies for this month, really hope you enjoyed and feel free to let me know what your favourites for this month are.

All my love,

Homeware trends I am obsessed with

Of course we all know I am a huge fan of homeware and DIY especially when it's a DIY for homeware, so I compiled a list for you all showing what my favourite trends are and many that I have used in my own room. I am loving the summery homeware at the minute with bright colours and my solid favourites copper and marble. I have found some way to incorporate most of these trends into my room and I am giving some credit to Pinterest as I found some of these images on their and some are my own but I just loved the layout of some of the Pinterest images don't kill me haha. Anyway my lovelies, ENJOY!

Flamingo/pineapple/cactus/tassel garlands

Especially when it gets to summer decor like this looks really cute, as you all know I made my own tassel garland in my room (bottom right picture) and it is honestly the best DIY I have done yet. I also made a cactus/succulent garland for my notice board after I came across the idea on Pinterest, along with my Pinterest search I found a flamingo and pineapple garland which would be perfect for a summer party or in a vibrant bedroom. I would happily hang that garland in my room as I am obsessed with flamingoes and pineapple homeware as it is becoming more popular in shops like my favourites Oklahoma, Thunder Egg and Primark.

Framed Quotes

I am all about having quotes around me to inspire and push me, I collected a few of my favourites of Pinterest that were set up in presentable and appealing ways that I would happily do. I love how some quotes are organised on a shelf which is something I have done in my room with photos and framed quotes. I also like the idea of a framed quote leaning against a wall on top of a table or a set of drawers. I have done this with my cactus picture that I bought recently from Primark, as I think it looks new and I like it being around my desk area.

Pineapple home decor

Recently I have noticed with the weather changes more tropical things are becoming popular in homes. When I visit my two favourite shops in Manchester Oklahoma and Thunder Egg they always have pineapple themed homeware such as my pineapple copper money bank which I bought from Oklahoma for £14.99. It is so gorgeous so obviously I included a picture with my Pinterest choices, I also bought a pineapple duvet recently from Primark I think and it is so gorgeous and tropical that I love putting it on my bed. Pineapple really seems to be having a moment right now,  maybe it's the idea of a fruity drink or a rise in temperature making us wish we weren't working or we were on a tropical holiday. Whatever the case I really don't think pineapple homeware is going anywhere anytime soon...

Flamingo homeware

I myself really love the look of flamingo homeware such as this gorgeous duvet from Laura Ashley, it is totally stunning especially the pink piping around the pillows. As my room is pink and green I feel like I can comfortably fit flamingo homeware into my room, Primark have recently become more on trend with the cactus, flamingo and pineapple trends like the flamingo light in the second from the bottom picture on the right which is just £10. Just like the pineapple homeware I am not too sure what makes people so happy to introduce flamingoes to their home maybe it is the pop of pink colour to a room or the idea of a tropical bird. A common occurrence with these trends is that fact of the change in season as summer is coming the thought of a tropical island with tropical birds and fruity drinks is a winner in most peoples books.

Copper and marble

A trend that has been around for a while is copper and marble home ware, when combined together this combination of metallics and pattern makes such a perfect surrounding. I have this trend throughout my room from geometric tea lights to marble trays such as the DIY tray I created with marble contact paper. I find a lot of my copper homeware all over the place such as geometric tea light holders which I bought from New Look and Home Bargains and marble homeware from places such as H&M and Urban Outfitters. Copper has been attracting people and turning heads from the catwalks all the way to in your own home, this trend is all about making a home super chic and statement pieces such as telephones, photo frames, trays and tables and of course candle holders. It has become more acceptable to mix metallics recently such as gold and copper, it is all about taking a few statement pieces and making them work in your room. However, maybe in my room I went a little over board with copper baskets, plant pots, lanterns and brush holders oops..

Geometrics

I chose to show you two kinds of geometric trends that I love, the first being copper geometric such as candle holders and terrariums and then wall art such as wire boards and ornaments. This trend looks like it has no hint of dying out because it is very urban and is an easy way to add a visual pattern to a room. They can also be used on anything from rugs, to tables, to art work and more and are the perfect way off adding something interesting as it is very simple. Geometric home pieces can come in any colour personally I love pastel geometrics on rugs, cushions and copper geometric tea light holders. The easiest way to add geometrics to a room is through bedding as places such as Primark and Ikea do a range of bedding, curtains and cushions with a geometric pattern.

Clean layouts

I am a major neat freak so I am pretty much in love with clean layouts and nothing cluttering. My worst fear in life well for the home is having things in the wrong place like I hate having too many things on a shelf or a desk for example and everything has to have a place yes it sounds snobby but personally I think a clean layout helps me work better and keep myself focused. Plus no one wants to live like a slob, I mean if I can keep my place tidy while living with a soldier, having a job going to the gym and all them other adult things then I'm sure others can. Ew I sounded so snobby haha, but you know I'm sure others agree that a clean layout is so appealing with things in the right place that just make you happy to see. I love a homely house with pictures in frames and ornaments and things but also plenty of space.

Pastels

Okay, this one is no surprise for me. I adore some pastel home decor my room is actually light pink and mint green (yes it works together) and I absolutely love it, so of course I love a lot more pastel home decor with the odd hint of copper DUH. I even found pastel pineapples on Pinterest how wonderful, I just think pastels don't have to be for that young girl or babies they can work in homes for couples and they even help to make an area look tidier and neat. I think that if a room lacks colour and is mostly white and grey then pastels can add a pop of colour but nothing too harsh like a bright orange pillow pastels are something simple for someone who likes a tranquil setting.

Indoor Plants

From succulents to terrariums filled with spikey cactuses, these are the perfect addition to a modern home. This is a major trend that is growing day by day, whether you choose to have large plants or small plants like myself just to decorate a desk or a shelf it still sets a mature atmosphere with colour. Larger plants are good for making a statement and decorating a normally empty area, whereas smaller plants add detail to a small room with less space. A current trend is hanging terrariums and plants from the ceiling for a hanging garden affect which looks incredible, along with the use of terrariums which combine together several plants in the way you want them.

Holographic

This is a new style to me as I have only a few pieces like this however I just love it. Holographic to me means like mirrors and pearly effects. I bought a few bowls a while back from TK MAXX and they reminded me of mermaids tails and were incredibly beautiful with the way the glass shimmered and changed colour which you can see in the images above. While surfing Pinterest I came across a brilliant holographic garland which I would have in my own room which used a rainbow effect. That is truly gorgeous and something I would happily make in a DIY, I'm finding a lot of holographic pieces are in pot ware like vases and bowls and ornaments obviously but one simple holographic pieces can set a room and this trend will not be going anywhere quickly.

Polaroids

For Valentine's day Nathan bought me a fujifilm polaroid camera to document our adventures and boy have we. Me and Nathan equally share out the pictures so he has one and I have one when we use it. I love using these to decorate my room using my little cactus photo holder to hold a few that are special to me and also using LALALAB to create larger polaroids that I used on my notice board that I made in my latest DIY post. They were super inexpensive and I think they are amazing because polaroids capture a moment and add a vintage style to a room.

Well that is all my lovelies for the trends I am currently obsessed with, I hope you enjoyed and feel free to comment your favourite home ware trends at the minute.

May Primark Haul

It is that time of the month again where I ventured into Primark and found a few pieces that I really liked. They still have a huge selection of sales items still in store so I picked up a few pieces in consideration for summer and just outfits I could see working together in my head. Just a quick disclaimed if something does not have a shop name it is from Primark as there a few none Primark items but mostly Primark. Anyway ENJOY!

Fashion

Tasselled cream/white sleeveless cardigan £9

I cannot tell you how much I love this little cardigan, I went out with my mum and I felt a little self conscious showing all my bum (I'm weird I had jeans on ahaha) like I normally wear a top that covers my bum but I was really feeling this outfit and for £9 this completely the outfit so well. Seen as I have 3 other colours of this top and jeans this is just a classic yet feminine look. It has actually boosted my confidence enough to show my arms in public as I normally only wear a top with sleeves but it was far to warm for that sort of behaviour so why not try something new....

Sleeveless trench coat £10

This was originally £23 as it is a really sturdy and comfortable jacket. I love jackets like these especially for the summer as you can wear them with just a blouse and jeans and it looks really fashionable and I love layered outfits. I have this kind of fear I suppose or habit of wearing long jackets to cover my bum as I don't like having it on show even if I have jeans on. Like that sounds weird but if I wear a blouse or top that doesn't cover my bum it makes me really paranoid that I look bigger so I like jackets to cover it haha. Anyway I love the colour of this as it a dark khaki which will work with all my jeans and blouses for a simple shopping look.

Khaki Maxi Skirt £5

This was a sale item I picked up, I literally mentioned to my mum moments before I seen this how I wanted a full length skirt that I could match with a white top and some white converse just a simple summery look. I loved the beaded draw strings on this skirt and it was elasticated at the top so it isn't too tight. I really want to mix my style up this summer so I thought this was the perfect way to start and seen as it was reduced from £10 to £5 it was worth the fashion risk.

UPDATE! I actually did wear this with the white top also mentioned in this haul and they worked so well together and kept me super cool and paired with white converse they looked so casual.

Burgundy Split Skirt £5

I picked this up during my second Primark visit as this was next to the above khaki skirt. I loved the khaki one however i thought maybe a split skirt would also work just as well. This is very summery and bohemian so this will be perfect for summer especially with it's long tassels and embroided detail down the side of the splits.

White pattern playsuit £10

Another playsuit I know after the other two I bought but this one seemed a little longer and really sweet. I love the stretchy waist on this so it doesn't press down too hard, this one has pearled buttons and a cute drawstring but overall the pattern is perfect and reminds me of Aztec print dresses I also seen in Primark.

Mandala print playsuit £6

I can justify another playsuit I promise! I just really liked playsuits and I wanted some for summer and my holidays this summer. This was pretty similar to the others with a cute draw string and stretchy waist but in this gorgeous blue and white pattern which was completely perfect for summer!

Lace trim off shoulder blouse £15 Tesco

This was a gift of my nana as my mum takes her shopping every Monday so while they were out my mum spotted this and told my nana I would love it (she was right). It does fit perfectly and I am saving it for my holiday this August as I am going away with my mum and Nathan. I think this could look super cute with jeans I've turned into a right wife all I wear is jeans a dressy/girly top because it's easier to do everyday things haha.

Pink split back t-shirt £4

I had seen this a few weeks back but they didn't have any in the loose size that I like. I always enjoy loose tops for wearing with leggings and trainers such as converse or my Stan Smiths. I loved the colour of this as a muted rose pink is in my favourite colours, I really wanna extend my fashion choices as I normally wear burgundy, white and green so this is my attempt to wear more colours I really enjoy.

Cream zipper front skirt £3

I found this on the sales section of the skirt department in Manchester's Primark and I absolutely loved it. I have bought several colours of this skirt and it is really flattering and looks classy. This zipper detail really adds something to the outfit however you have to dress it with a simple top due to the zipper.

Pink and white striped shorts £1

These are gorgeous I bought two pairs of these and they are super comfy, these were on sales from £2.50 but they just reminded me of Victoria's Secret stripes so they were a must with there just little white frilly trim and matching drawstrings.

Pink and white mandala print shorts £4

I have had my eye on these for a while but they are so cute and summery that they just had to be in my short collection. These have cute little pompoms on the end of my shorts and the cutest little draw strings with tassels on. These fit me perfectly (ooooh I'm a LARGEEEE) and they were so easy to sleep in.

White Lace trim vest top £2.70

I already bought two of these in blue and mustard but I really wanted a plain on of these just for lighter jeans and my cardigan that I showed first. These fit me so well with a little bit of space which I really like in these tops. I could actually wear this with my green skirt with the bottom tucked in.

Burgundy Tassel top £7

I had seen this on the Primark website and I knew it had to be mine. I love tassels recently and I have brought out all my kimono's from last year that have tassels on so I am fully embracing old fashions haha. I just think this will look cute with leggings and converse or my Timberlands. As soon as I found an outfit combination I will do an update for you!

Cream Tassel t-shirt £5

I LOVE THIS TOP! Like seriously, it looks perfect with jeans and I wore it with my New Look suede wrap around that I got in November with my Timberlands and i got so many compliments. This was actually reduced from like £8 so I was super happy with this purchase as it is like a crop top which is something I never wear.

Khaki Waterfall top £7

Oooooh another long top to add to my collection of khaki past the knee pieces. I don't know what attracted me to this top but I thought this would be super comfy and would look awesome with jeans and my Adidas Stan Smiths or in fact my Timberlands. I really like how Primark have a lot of these tops at the minute and they also have this in grey which is very similar to a long khaki top I bought last month.

Cut Sleeve Blouse £8

This is too cute for words  but I thought it could work with my long skirts or jeans and a wrap around. I love the gold button detail and how the sleeves are cut out, I know I suit this kind of top so I cannot wait to try out some outfit combinations with this. It is a really light and soft material nothing too heavy and perfect for summer. UPDATE! I wore this top with black jeans and a lacey kimono and absolutely loved it, it's weird because it's like air conditioning because the cut out sleeve areas keep your arms cool haha.

Khaki pocket dress £12.99 H&M

I just couldn't resist a little H&M haul and this was the first thing on my list, I thought this was super cute especially with the usual black tights and chelsea boots style. There was several colours including a striped one light pink and black, just of course for my love of khaki this was perfect. Hopefully, this does fit because it looks a little tiny on the waist and bottom half but I just couldn't resist.

Flamingoes and Pineapples t-shirt H&M £7.99

It has flamingoes and pineapples and palm trees I just couldn't say no okay! I buy a lot of my graphic tops here because they have some really random and cute stuff especially cactus tops like the jumper I bought which is one of my favourite tops now. They actually had cactus leggings but that is taking it too far haha, Anyway I thought this would be cute with a skater skirt probably black as a fun and summery look or even shorts.

White and Navy zigzag blouse £3

I actually purchased this from Pep&Co but I thought you wouldn't mind me mentioned it in this post. I just thought this would be super cute with my black jeans and Timberlands for a casual outfit. I really love Pep&Co for their jeans as they fit me perfectly and they have so many colours from several shades of blue and greys and a standard black. But anyway back to this top it is really loose and flowey so it a top that I could dress up for a meal or just an everyday look when running around doing things.

Asda Zip up front Sports Bra £5

I had been looking at these for a long time but I couldn't decide on what colour I wanted, so when I see these on sales from £8 to £5 I thought agh well I will just get the pink one. These are hopefully gonna make taking these off after the gym easier as taking off a normal one is so hard after doing arms haha. You gym freaks know the struggle haha...

Elephant necklace £2

This was such the perfect find and for £2 it was just right. I adore elephants and this is like a super long necklace to layer with other necklaces and the price was just totally perfect. I bought something similar to this (well my mum did) and it was around £10 from Accessorize and it's chain was a lot shorter which I sometimes wear but wish it had a longer chain. As I always wear my crossbow necklace that Nathan bought me I wanted a longer chained elephant necklace and this is perfect.

3 gold anklet set £1.50

When it get's to this time of the year I absolutely love anklets like they look so dainty and cute. This set was perfect and inexpensive and my favourite is the middle one with the small little heart which will look perfect with a summer tan. Primark had a lot of these in at the minute some woven with lots of colour and some simple chains like the ones I bought.

Rose gold diamante earrings £1

These were just too cute to pass up, I love how small and detailed they actually are. Primark do a large range of copper/rose gold accessories which I have never seen before in the past. These earrings were just perfect for me as I love small dainty jewellery because it is a lot more flattering on me.

Tiny metallic elephant necklace £1.50

OKAY! I absolutely adore this little necklace! I had to look at it up close and then I realised it had tiny elephants on in different metallic shades I love how it has copper elephants in especially as we all knowI adore me some copper. This is such a dainty necklace and for less than £2 it is so perfect and I literally put it on after taking a picture of it.

Beauty

Holographic makeup/travel bag £4

Primark has multiple sizes of this print but I wanted a large one for my up coming holidays. This is so gorgeous I tried taking a picture of this with the flash on and it was so blue/purple it's gorgeous. Obviously us mermaid lovers love a holographic mermaid tail effect bag so for £4 this is perfect and it holds my makeup, contact lense stuff, hair brush and products which is a lot to fit in a travel bag. But overall super super pretty, in all honest I seen another girl with this and thought I need that bag so I picked it up being selfish I suppose haha..

Belle canvas bag £3

I literally said to my mum the other week I would be all over a a Beauty and the beast canvas bag as they really come in handy. This was such a nice surprise when I was checking out the bag section which I always end up doing. I love the detail on this especially the hair which I wish I had, Belle has always been my favourite princess and this bag is perfect for my love for the film.

Loreal True Match Foundation £4.99 B&M

This is actually my all time favourite drug store foundation so when it is £5 cheaper and they have my shade of course I am going to buy. I love this foundation as it doesn't make me look orange and makes my skin look so flawless, it is 100% genuine as they sometimes do foundations like this in B&M but they have only a few shades. I just had to snap this up!

Holographic tweezers 2 pack £1

I really needed more tweezers as the pair I had lost there hold, does that make sense? like when I do my eyebrows my old ones weren't pulling out the hairs so I thought for a pound I might as well pick up some more and they match the makeup/travel bag I bought, I just love holographic things at the minute.

Ps Pro Foundation £5
Ombre nails £1
Sparkly nails £1.50

I found out about the new makeup range online and had to try it out so I decided to opt for the foundation out of everything. It is actually amazing super light and easy to apply with a full coverage I find. It smells super good which is always a win and there new nails are AMAZING! Cannot wait to try out these sparkly ones and the ombre ones for summer.

Khaki stiletto nails £1

I couldn't say no to my favourite colour in my favourite nails. These are going to look awesome with my new trench coat jacket, I really enjoy these nails and they are so easy to apply especially when I can file them down to a length I like that won't poke my eyes out haha..

PS. PRO Ultra Shine Lipgloss 'Supermodel Nude' £3
PS. PRO Illuminating Primer £5

I am really into the PS.PRO range from Primark so I picked these up on my third YES THIRD trip to Primark in the space of a week. That's shocking but oh well, I have only tried out the lipgloss so far and I am not normally a massive lip gloss fan but this was amazing it made my lips feel super plump and shiny. The primer however looks so pearly and perfect and it apparently gives a glowing makeup look so I cannot wait to try this out. Overall, I think the range is really worth the money as I am seeing great things from them as is my mum as she uses a lot of there lip products which she thinks are amazing and stop her lipstick from bleeding.

PS. Pro Rich Colour Lipstick in 'Boudoir Pink' £3

So from this post we have established that I am IN LOVE with the PS. PRO range in Primark so ofcourse I thought I would also try out a lipstick. I debated the nude one at first but then I knew I loved my pink-nudes so this was perfect. The case for this is super sleek and the lipstick pops out the bottom when it is pushed, I thought it might be easier for you all to see with a swatch and a swatch of it on my lips. Sorry not sorry for the Snapchat flower crown haha, the colour of this is like a rosey nude with brown undertones but on the lips more of a pink with some brown undertones showing through.

Revolution flawless matte palette £6 Superdrug

I have wanted one of these for a while and they are normally £8 in Superdrug so when I saw it for £6 I thought why not. This has amazing pigmented shadows which vary from lights to darks. The palette is made up of 32 shades which get darker as you go down each row, I love this colours in this palettes as I love rosey pinks which this has towards the middle of the palette. Is it just me that loves seeing the names of eyeshadows and other makeup products like lipsticks especially MAC'S like Whirl etc I just think its cute haha. Anyway great palette and rather pigmented so deffinetely worth the £6!

Makeup Revolution eye foil in Rose Gold £2

You can't actually find this in Superdrug anymore however I ordered this online with just £2 delivery. I came across this on another blog and thought well for £2 why not, this looks awesome with a brown eyeshadow in the crease and this all over the lid/centre. This will go perfectly with my above palette and I cannot wait to try it out.

Homeware

Bright Cactus picture £5

I was so truly happy when I first saw this in Primark like how I missed it my first look around the homeware section. However recently Primark have stepped up the cactus game, from the canvas bag I bought recently to the cactus print t-shirt and now this beautiful picture. I love how the cactuses aren't just green I love the pink toned cactus they just fit so well together and I love how they vary in size.

Flamingo LED Light £10

I just gave in and purchased this as I was stuck over this and the copper pineapple version however I have that much copper homeware now that it is going a little too far so I went for the summery flamingo. I really feel that flamingoes are popular at the minute and aren't leaving homeware trend anytime soon, Oklahoma in Manchester have the most amazing shower curtains and mugs with flamingoes on, so this is probably the first start in my flamingo homeware haul. For £10 this was such a bargain as I seen it online somewhere else for £22 so this was a steal and I am seriously loving how Primark are getting a lot of unique and interesting pieces in for summer.

Pineapple sponge £1

My mum knows how much I am into this big trend of cactuses, pineapples and flamingoes so she thought this spongey pineapple was really cute and funny. For a pound I thought aye why not and it is now a hanging decor item on my curtain tie backs.

Star wars tags 20p

Okay so it's Nathan's 20th birthday coming up and I have noticed in the past year or so Primark have been doing stationary and present decor like wrapping paper, tags and gift bags. I had seen Star Wars tags before so while having a wonder I picked up two packets of these gift tags which were originally £1 each but no reduced to just 20p this was so ideal as I do go overboard on birthdays and wrapping paper that is themed so this birthday Nathan is having Star Wars theme. These were super perfect anyway and went well with the star wars wrapping paper, but Primark stationary is actually rather amazing recently and they do have a whole section for Star Wars notebooks etc and I also recall a frozen collection.

Cactus Cushion £3
Cactus photo holder £1

PRIMARK HAVE ANSWERED ALL MY NEEDS IN ONE GO! First the cactus picture, now the cutest little picture holder for just a pound and then a cactus print cushion. Of course I did a little excited dance when I seen these and snatched them all up. I didn't even have a second doubt about these as I love cactuses and I could just tell they would fly of the shelves. Primark at the minute have a lot of this kind of bohemian and Morroccan style homeware from mandala print duvets which are gorgeous to cushions themed like floor pouffes. I'm just super happy with what Primark are bringing out at the minute.

Silver arrow hanging decoration £2

I saw this and thought it would be perfect to hang on my DIY notice board, it actually does look super cute and they had a little sheep's skull style hanging ornament as well which I debated but thought this was so much cooler as I love archery and things like that. I am a huge fan of The Hunger Games and The Hunters of Artemis so this arrow just reminded me of some of my favourite books, so this is just a little hint to my love for books.

Mossy succulent display £3 Tesco

My mum surprised me with this she has really good taste when buying me surprises. I love the mossy combination of this and it looks super cute next to my cork top candle which is also from Primark. i just love plants in my room especially fake succulents they make me feel really mature and they add pops of colour to any room.

Print pillowcases £2.80

I was in desperate need of new pillowcases for my bed and I always love Primark's 2 set of pillows especially for less than £3. I loved the print of these ones with the little varied colour triangles, these are just cute and simple for my room.

Copper Over door hooks £2.50 and Copper metal hangers £3

Onto the homeware section I bought four pieces and of course two of them were copper. I just loved these hooks and intend to put them away for mine and Nathan's home box that I am adding pieces too each time I go out. These were just super cute and for £2.50 what a bargain as I can see these holding our his and hers dressing gowns or something. Also I picked up the skirt/pant hangers which are the opposite to my normal copper hangers I bought from Primark. In this set there are only 3 but I honestly picked up the copper hangers for a presentation purchase to show of clothes to you all.

Sea Salt & Lavender Candle £1

I am a huge fan of Primark candles they smell amazing and this one if my new favourite. I actually came across this one on Lohaa's new Youtube video check it out here she is so lovely, anyway she described this candle to the smell of Hollister's you know that fresh smell and I can never tell what that smell is so when she said this I was like 'surely not' but you know what SHE WAS RIGHT! It smells super fresh and I actually just keep picking it up and sniffing the candle haha.

Monochrome with grey fluffy bath mat £3

So Nathan's 20th birthday is coming up and he actually asked for a bag of things for his room at camp including towels, bath mat, shower curtain, tooth brush holder that kind of stuff so of course I gave to his wishes and begin to buy him some little pieces. This mat was perfect and super soft I actually wanted this for myself and they also do this in blue so colour varying. I love this mat and hopefully it will work in Nathan's room.

Anyway that is all my lovelies for this post, really hope you enjoyed this as I loved shopping for these pieces too haha...

All my love,
