A very long weekend...

So this weekend was probably one of my favourites, however I was very spoilt and I am truly grateful for one of the best surprises I have ever been given. This will be a long post but stick with it I took some really awesome pictures. ENJOY!

We got to see some gorgeous monkeys and apes, especially in the island section. Made me laugh a lot seeing the primates putting sacks on there heads I even got to see a baby Orangutan and it's parent pretending to be a rock wrapping a sack around itself and being very still haha.

My personal favourite part of the zoo was by far the elephants as they had the cutest little 7 month old female elephant called Nangita. Along with a male Bull elephant called Aung Bo he was stunning with beautiful tusks. I got the cutest video of baby Nangita trying to go down to the pool but she was frightened she's super cute!!

Above is a mismatch of pictures including the penguin enclosure and the cheetahs cuddling, the cheetah enclosure is really irritating as there are high fences so if they aren't in the big enclosure they are in the tiny area to the side where you have to peak through the fence to see them but I did get this gorgeous picture.

i was lucky enough to have a very handsome tour guide (wink wink hey Nathan) to plan the whole day and which animals we were going to see. I am a lucky lady!

Plus we got a beautiful colour co-ordinated map which i have kept to hopefully frame as a family piece for mine and Nathan's future home.

OFCOURSE me and Nathan visited the lions and how beautiful is this big boy!

We were looking enough to see the Sun Bears this big guy was just chilling in a tree but decided to show us his climbing skills and got down just to climb back up again.

Z is for Zebras or ZOE!!

Unfortunately it did rain so me and my lovely Nathan had to take shelter for a few minutes till it calmed down. The heavens really did open but we still wanted ice cream.

I love seeing capybara's for some reason maybe it's the thought off a giant guinea pig but they are surely too cute. I'd have one over a dog any day, I love how they all formed in a line though they must have knew i wanted a picture.

Finally, got to see the rhinos as they were eating when I seen them near the elephants. Sadly, just after this they ran inside due the rain and pooped! They remind me of big dinosaurs with there armour like bodies.

Obviously I picked up a gift for me and Nathan. A little elephant for my keys and a cheetah/lion for his to remind us of each other and an amazing day!

I was super grateful of this surprise date as I really needed it to cheer myself up as depression and anxiety has took a lot out of my recently. I could not thank Nathan enough he is honestly a star and always trying to make me smile! Thank you!!!

On Monday morning me and Nathan took his sister and her boyfriend to the Pleasure Beach in Blackpool and we had a nice day in Blackpool. After a little shop around in the Disney Store and getting a tasty lunch we spent around 5 hours in Coral Island on the 2p machines winning our new baby Eddie the pirate teddy and a unicorn. Those machines I swear are super addictive!!

We had the loveliest weekend and finishing it off with a meal was the perfect way to do this!

Obviously we finished off the day with easter eggs and a very sleepy fiance!

Well that is all my lovelies! Seriously hope you enjoyed as I love looking through all the pictures!

New Copper Homeware!

After the popularity with my first copper homeware post combined with my love for buying homeware pieces I have decided to do another. I have magically accumulated a number of pieces that have a copper tone to them or created some more DIY bits and bobs so without anymore rambling.
ENJOY!

Geometric Copper Tea light New Look £5.99

I picked up this little love in the New Look in Kendal while I was away, I actually did a huge gasp and was like 'mum look copper!'. I had actually been looking at similar tea lights on Amazon but they were around £6/7 with £5 delivery so I was super happy finding this beauty.

Copper Effect Trivet Home Bargains £1.99

I had no clue what a trivet was but it was copper and I thought I could put something nice on it like my terrarium or a basket. Turns out a trivet is like an iron tripod that goes over a fire for a cooking pot/kettle but it works the way I have used it haha.

TK MAXX Terrarium £7.99

This was a beautiful bargain. I was so shocked by the price and I thought I could either do a mossy planted situation or some of my smaller cactuses and plants but this was a complete must!

As you can see from above this was what i did with the trivet and terrarium.

Artificial pink potted flower arrangement TK MAXX £3

This was one of them random finds right at the back of a shelf just doing nothing. But to me it was totally beautiful and reduced too only £3!!! The flowers are beautiful and the colours will blend perfectly with my room.

Hand Painted Wooden Z Abakhan £1.50

So this was a little cute DIY I created one afternoon as I seen something similar on a Pinterest post and was like ' I love alphabet themed pieces and designs' so I thought with a few plants this is just right for my room.

Tiny Copper Lid Jar £2 TK MAXX

I honestly have no clue what herby thing is inside but I thought if I took it out and put some dirt in and a little plant maybe some pebbles I could have my own little terrarium. This sits perfectly on my desk with a little pink marble effect tray and my jewellery next to it, but I just love dinky pieces like this.

Ikea Cactaceae £4.50

So these were originally in little white pots and I knew I wanted to do a little DIY and painted stripes and other patterns on the pots to give them a copper effect. 100% worth the price and they come in a range of colours from green to pink.

Shopping Basket TK MAXX £7.99

This basket is stunning, I had seen it a fair few times while I was away and finally bought it 3 days before I came home.  This sits perfectly on my shelves with some notebooks, lanterns and plants inside. This looks just as stunning as my copper Matalan baskets.

Copper Effect Plant New Look £4.99

For £4.99 this is an unbelievable price for something so cute and stunning! This now sits in my copper terrarium with a few cactuses, I love the tiny little stones inside the plant and I would think it would cost a lot more than a fiver! New Look homeware winning again with the copper!!

Copper effect candle in French Vanilla £2.50 Primark
&
Copper wired crystal lights £4 Primark

THANK THE LORD! Primark are getting on the copper homeware hype, this is probably the nicest fresh smelling candle I have ever smelt and I even purchased the little tea lights for my lanterns and other candle holders so my room is super fresh! The lights look so stunning wired and weaved around my bed post and are super bright likewise with the candle sitting perfectly on my desk surrounded by artificial plants.

Copper Large Bin £5.99 B&M's

This bin just made me super happy when I seen it on the shelf, my mum noticed it first and pointed it out as there is a new large B&M's near us. This was a super excited purchase as I wanted the large one from Dunelm but it was £7.99 so I'm happy to save £2. Bonus, this bin is huge compared to my old bin and it is actually just really really pretty.

Copper Lamp £6.99 B&M's

A long with the bin I seen this super cute and really cheap lamp, it was appealing as it was a thin stand and base and not too in the way as my room bothers me if it is too cluttered. I mostly rely on my lights from my mirror and fairy lights but when I Facetime Nath at night he can't see me because it is dark so now I HAVE LIGHT!! Anyway it is super super cute and affordable it just makes me happy to have a cute little night stand.

Well that is all my lovely seriously hope you all enjoyed this as I was super excited to upload this but I have been super busy! If you would like to see my first copper homeware blog post check it out here! Copper Homeware
