Favourite fashion looks

There are a lot of fashion trends at the minute however I'm not always very mainstream with my style and I love to dress girly in skirts and dresses. At the same time I enjoy being comfy in trainers and leggings which is what I wear most of the time around Nathan as we do a lot of active things. This post will also be a combination of fashion looks with hair and beauty as they work well with my outfits.

Ripped Jeans

Absolutely love ripped jeans, I think the ones with rips all over showing like the whole of the knee are gorgeous but for me and my figure I really liked just the ripped knee. Anyone else put ripped jeans on dead slowly because your foot always ends up going through to rip haha. They look so nice with blouses and baggy t-shirts but I love them with the outfit I have above, just a loose blouse, a fluffy and sued wrap around jacket and timberlands. Very fashionable and fierce.

Striped tops/dresses

So the top in this picture is my favourite top as it has a split side but it looks so nice with leggings and a denim jacket and loose curls. I just really love stripes at the minute as they are so classic and brighten up a plain outfit rather than a simple t-shirt.

Shirts around the waist

A very popular look at the minute but it just makes jeans and a top look nicer, to me this is a dressed up version of my normal outfit as the top is an off the shoulder top and is rather stunning. But anyway I love wrapping shirts around my waist as it can add colour to a simple look.

Timberlands

I could not rave more about these boots, so comfortable and work with so many outfits I almost always have these on and they don't hurt my feet. I can honestly walk in these for hours, definitely want to get some khaki green ones.

Adidas superstars

At first I didn't get the hype but now I am really into them they are just really nice, it's a shame now that you see them every weekend out shopping worn by 12 year olds in their crop tops and leggings haha.

Denim Skirts and Pinafores

I chose to do these together as the images were awkward to place on there own haha. So starting with the denim skirts I just think these looks so pretty especially with long sleeved tops. The one in my pictures was £19.99 from New Look and I was super shocked at how much I love wearing it now as I used to think they were old fashioned. Pinafores however I have loved since being little and they are just a sweet look and can be paired with any long sleeved top. I normally use plain long sleeved tops from Primark as they are super soft and comfortable.

Dainty elephant jewellery

How cute are these earrings?! I have been adding a lot of elephant pieces to my life in jewellery, clothing and homeware just because they inspire me and are so strong and powerful. Just truly beautiful.

Baggy t-shirts & jumpers

As a bigger girl it is hard to find a baggy t-shirt but after loosing weight I actually love wearing baggy tops as sometimes wearing tight clothing just isn't nice. Just a classic look especially with jeans or leggings, cannot wait to loose even more weight so I can be working this look more often.

Boots

HOW UNREAL ARE THESE BOOTS! I got these last August and I love them, rather high but so easy to walk in they kind of remind me of Jeffrey Campbells. I also love chelsea boots but these make me like 6 foot but still not as tall as nath haha.

White Converse

How nice is it to just put on leggings a tshirt and converse. Especially white low ones as they are super comfortable and just work really well. I think these are perfect for a busy day look whether your cleaning around the home or doing errands these are my favourites.

Bouncey Curls

Nathan loves my hair curly so when I have the time I do curl my hair because it does look nice. See my cat having a cheeky snooze in the background good old Smokey haha. I tend to do curls with skirts and dresses as I don't think I work curls as well in pants/jeans. I'm so fussy haha...

Plaited hairstyles

Whether my hair is a messy bun with a braided fringe or like the second image down with loose waves and a braided crown I love braids! I think they look so stunning and instead of curly hair or straight these just add the extra touch. I think the braided messy bun is classic for a meeting or interview and is really simple to do.

Brown and pink toned lipsticks

If you have read my other posts you will know how much I love whirl by mac as it just a fierce lipstick and along with others such as Merh, Velvet Teddy and Viva Glam V these are just perfect lip looks for a full lip.

Dark Crease with a shimmer centre

Such a stunning look especially with Mac's jest and the Soap and Glory lip stuff palette. I go to this look all the time and I know it looks stunning so I may be playing safe but it's a beautiful safe.

Well that is all my lovelies for my favourite fashion looks. Sorry if some of these aren't to your taste but hopefully you can try some out.

All my love,

February Favourites 2016...

Well it's the start of March and that means one thing and one thing only FEBRUARY FAVOURITES! I honestly think this is the best thing about being a blogger that I have the urge to try new things because I want my blog to be versatile and as a person I want to try new things and not be stuck in a routine! So this month I have skincare, beauty and clothing that I have loved. Enjoy....

So this month has been a lot of cosy clothes that look fashionable when layered up and a flawless skin look with a strong contour, defined brows and a glimmering highlight. I chose a lot of these because I went on a lot of adventures and documented these journeys on social media and wanted to look nice while doing so.

Starting with beauty

So unlike last months favourites the beauty section is all drugstore products. Some of these I did mention in my go to products but this month I looked through all my makeup and looked at products I rarely use. Starting with the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation £9.99, it is really hard for a pale person to buy a foundation that is a true match but this perfect. It is a very light shade for me in Light Vanilla and I have purchased this over and over it gives me a flawless coverage without feeling thick. It uses a fruit therapy formula consisting of apricot, melon and apple to give the skin a healthy glow which I absolutely love.

Along with the foundation I am also really enjoying the Avon Ideal Flawless Cream Concealer (Fair) £7. This stuff is amazing! it says it in the name but it is so creamy, I have been using this a lot recently to do under eye and to carve out my brows and make them look sharp and it does an amazing job I cannot rave about it enough!

Nails-wise I have been loving the Primark Plain Nails £1, I have been feeling a lot happier since I started spending the time to put false nails on and these are so pretty. I currently have the rose pink ones on but the white ones are so sleek and classic.

The swatches in the second picture do some justice to show how pigmented these highlighters are especially when they are only £3 in Superdrug. These are the Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighters in Pink Lights and Peach Lights, I tend to use these with a wet brush as it picks up product more easily and the pay off is beautiful especially for a gentle shine on the cheek bone or cupid's bow.

Excuse the other swatches on my hand haha. This lipstick is the Soap & Glory Fabu Lipstick in Naked Beige £8.99, this month I have been trying to use all my other lip products not just my MAC Lipsticks. This lipstick is a dark brown toffee colour and is rather creamy, I really liked this lipstick due to the fact I have really got into my brown toned lipsticks such as Whirl and Velvet Teddy. I know I can always trust Soap and Glory for good products as they have an amazing range and I have always enjoyed their lipglosses.

Scent of the month

I am literally in love with the Victoria's Secret Mango Temptation £12ish, it is a very sweet smelling scent and I love to give myself a good spritz of this before I leave the house. I love Mango so I had to pick this one when I bought mine at the Trafford Centre, that's why I'm not 100% on the price as it was the 5 for £30 deal. This will take me forever to go through and I finally got my hands on a pretty striped bag...

Now onto fashion

So this month I have been LOVING striped tops. I love them with leggings or black skirts or under pinafores. I just think they are very slimming and classic and can be really feminine for girls as well as masculine for boys. I found the two in the image above in Primark for around £5/6 each and they are beautiful! Especially the one on the right as the hem and the sleeves have like a crochet effect on them which shows through.

Next up is this Anchor Slouch Tee £3 from Primark, I love this top paired with my black skater skirt, black tights and chelsea boots as it is really feminine and cute. I have a similar top to this in burgundy with black hearts on and it is super comfortable, both suit being layered with a grey sleeveless cardigan.

I have mentioned these jumpers before in a Primark haul, these were both £10 each and have this zipped detail down the back. They are super comfy and loose and work perfectly with leggings or jeans like in the image below. For the price these are amazing and the zip detail really looks nice at the back, these are well worth the money and come in a range of colours from light pink to striped.

Now these trainers are the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski's in Navy £60. I received these as a gift two christmas' ago and I hadn't wore them a lot until I found them in my wardrobe with the black ones. I styled them as you can see above with a baggy grey jumpers leggings and a leather jacket as I was going out shopping with Nathan. They are super comfy and come in a range of colours from black to floral print.

Fun Favourite's

This is the Fujifilm instax mini 8 Polaroid Camera £60 I received this halfway through February and I love it. I use this mainly for me and Nathan to document our adventures and cute couple selfies. It's nice because Nathan likes to take pictures of just me and put them on his noticeboard at camp or in his wallet for when he is away in the field. Nathan bought me this for a Valentine's present and it is in the shade Raspberry which was a total shock to me because it is perfect! I just think the camera is so nice and the pictures are really classic and give an airbrushed effect.

My movie of the month has to be Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, I have laughed a stupid amount of times at this film I swear I have watched it like 5 times in a week so far. Whether it is singing Britney Spears to a zombie or how cute Augie is it just makes me smile this film. Like I said the character Augie in the film (on the left) is so lovely and such a good character he makes me laugh hysterically. But all in all this film is awesome and really good to watch if your into funny horror films.

Well that is all my lovelies for this months favourites,
hope you enjoyed seeing what I was loving.

All my love,

February Primark Haul 2016

So I am aiming to do a Primark haul each month along with a monthly favourites, hopefully don't judge me. Anyway, my mum is my shopping buddy so today we took a trip into Manchester to the big Primark as I had a cold all week so we couldn't shop. IT WAS HEARTBREAKING!

Anyway on with this haul!

So starting with the underwear, I always see Youtubers and other bloggers saying they bought underwear but wont share them and I'm thinking 'why not? we all wear them' unless you wanna go commando but hey ho that's a persons choice. No matter what it's whatever someone feels comfortable in, personally I love balcony bra's I think they are comfortable and they look attractive and keep me secure haha. So I picked this set up for £3 and it is beautiful, Primark do this print alot in different colours and it is stunning so when I see it from £5 to £3 I picked it up!

Next I picked up a detailed zip pencil skirt in khaki for £8, I don't know what it is maybe I want to match Nathan knowing he wears camouflage most days but I have an obsession with khaki green. Nathan thinks it's really funny but I have found it so appealing recently like its flattering and looks professional so I'm thinking of wearing this for mine and Nathan's Valentine's day meal. It has this beautiful gold zip down the front and is so soft so it's a winner in my books with the added detailed zip and pockets.

Along with the skirt I picked up this cream jumper, I have one of these in grey and I love it! It's so soft so nice to go with leggings and doesn't make me look rough. It's baggy but not massive and the zipper down the back gives it that added detail. For £10 this is amazing as I find it hard to find jumpers I like, they had these in a variety of colours including navy, pink and white with small black stripes or black with small white stripes. So after having a toss up between the cream and navy I chose this one as I don't tend to wear dark pants like black leggings and a dark top. But i'll probably go back for the navy haha....

Next up I picked up this slogan tshirt for £5 I thought this would look nice with my black skater skirt and a denim jacket for when I'm wanting a casual look. The slogan says it all and is really soft, it's not normally something I would go for but it caught my eye.

I LOVEEEEE THIS TOP! The Boyfriend Tee, and how could it get any better? WHEN IT'S STRIPEY! I counted in my closet the other day I have like 8 stripey items of clothing from dresses to tops and I wear them alot! I just think stripes are so classic and pretty and work well with any frame/ body figure to make them look smaller for £5 who can complain?

I wear the same jewellery all the time it's that simple. My bow and arrow necklace from Nathan, a camouflage help for heroes wristband along with a beaded bracelet with Nathan on and a gold interlocking bracelet I was given off my gran as a baby. So when it comes to new jewellery I buy earrings and ankle bracelets but never much more than that but at the minute Primark have a large rose gold section so I picked up this pretty chain for £2 because my bow and arrow necklace one day won't go with all my outfits.

So finally onto my last 2 pieces. I could spend hours in the Primark homeware section because I think once I turned 20 I love looking at home improvements and ways to decorate my room. I recently did my wardrobe out and realised I had some old blankets like throws i could give to my pets to lie on etc so I thought 'hey Zoe you need a new throw'. Which meant I bought a new one in a light grey for £5, they had some awesome colours including a dusty rose, purple. white, blue and some patterned ones with zig zags and flowers.

Finally, was a little DIY project. I seen this little elephant candle £3 on the Primark website and I loved it. I LOVE ELEPHANTS! But I thought it was too pretty to burn so I decided I would keep it as an ornament but also paint it copper as the silver wasn't fitting my white, pink and copper asthetic. So meet Eddie the new copper elephant! HOW CUTE DOES HE LOOK NOW!?

Well that's all my lovelies I hope you enjoyed this Primark haul even if it was smaller than my last. I certainly enjoyed picking it all up and showing it to youse.

All my love,
