A tattoo itch...

So my lovely readers, I have been having an urge recently to get a new tattoo. Which means I wanted to do a little post about my ideas and thoughts behind my decisions. I have always believed people should get tattoo's for a reason, not for a statement to look 'cool' or 'trendy'. I just find it more appealing to see someone with an amazing sleeve or piece for a loved one or for their children something along them lines, especially when it is done well and not something they will regret. Hats off honestly to the people who can sit for hours getting a big piece done because although the pain is bare able I don't think i could cope more than 2/3 hours (maybe it's because I move around a lot and hate being sat still).

Now I won't go into massive detail about my life because that's not what you are here for, but I have been through some ups and downs and some heartache in my short 20 years. This leads me to think I want something majestic and strong as my next tattoo, something that I can look at and think 'I'm strong and I'm here still'. Personally, I am drawn to smaller delicate tattoo's maybe it's because I'm a girl but I just find them sweet and think sometimes they look really nice compared to a full chest piece or something. I believe I wouldn't suit a big tattoo like a sleeve for instance because I would have no clue what to put into it and I don't personally think their suited to my sense of style and personality whereas small delicate tattoo's are.

So when I was thinking about what I wanted I knew I wanted something majestic and powerful that represents strength and relationships. No one has helped me more through my hardest times than my family especially my mum and my grandma and then theirs Nathan. A guy that showed me not all lads or girls (whatever your preference) will cheat on you, control you and treat you badly. So it's one of them moments where I have reached a stage where I am happy and content with my life and I want something to show me I'm stronger than I know.

So if you hadn't guessed I was thinking of an elephant tattooed on the back of my neck well just higher than my shoulder blades and the based of my neck. There is no other animal I know of that is as strong and powerful, so loyal to family and their 'friends' than an elephant. They also portray to me a sense of wisdom and that's something I love because if it wasn't for the bad times I wouldn't know how to avoid them in the future..

I think this tattoo is so beautiful in it's detail, I found this while searching for elephant tattoos on Pinterest. I love how small and dainty it is while still being absolutely packed with detail. One think you cannot refute about the elephant is that despite its size and might, it is a very endearing animal.

What fascinates me about the elephant is that despite it's huge outer appearance they are kind and gentle or perhaps not seen as vicious like a lion or tiger if that makes sense. The elephant tattoo has a different meaning to everyone there is never a distinct meaning it is known in the eye of it's owner. To me it would mean strength/wisdom/relationships and a journey but to others it could be favourite animal or a hard time they have been through that isn't the same as mine.

I find these two rather interesting in their different appearances, the top one is appealing as a herd/parade of elephants like a family all together. Whereas the one underneath is a single independent strong elephant with some beautiful mandala/tribal detail which is something that massively appeals to me. If I could incorporate the two together that would be my perfect tattoo small and detail which i know is very hard to pull off. I think my overall goal for this tattoo is for it not to come of cartoony, some do look cute but honestly I don't want something cartoony when it means so much to me. Ewwww I sound so strict and stern hahaha…

Above are some more dainty tattoos which I liked and the bottom right one I decided to add in because it had a lot of detail and looked rather nice with the girls tanned skin and the placement was rather appealing.

So I haven't made this public yet but the origin of my name is a rather beautiful story, which I may save for a blog post all to itself. I was named after my grandma Sarah as Sarah in Hebrew means Princess and Zoe in Greek means Life, for as far back as my family can remember every female in my family has been called Sarah or had Sarah as a middle name. My name for instance is Zoesarah like together as one, really it should be like Zoe-Sarah double barrell but nope my birth certificate says Zoesarah (guess my parents couldn't make their minds up haha). Anyway, my gran always played a HUGE part in my life and did so much for me so when we were hit with the news she had 12 weeks to live around October time and Cancer had spread all over her body my world fell apart. But for my gran it didn't she completely denied the fact she was ill up until her last days and when she passed on the 4th January 2009 I felt like I had lost everything and my source of wisdom.

So I suppose in a way the elephant represents my gran also in strength, wisdom and guidance along with the family ties. However, the elephant is not the only tattoo I want… to know my gran she was was always interested in teaching me the best she could and I became so interested in history like Greek's, Romans, The Wars everything like that. She taught me a lot through books and ever since she passed I have still tried to keep up reading books at least once a month depending how busy I am. Mainly because when I read I feel like I am with her, while she would read her favourite passage from a book. Anyway, I became very interested in Greek Mythology from a very early age because of the stories my gran told me along with Roman history as well. In my later teenage years I began to like the Percy Jackson books by Rick Riordan and there mythical magic and adventure. So combining this all together I decided I would love to get roman numerals tattooed on my collar bone of her birthday which would look something like this…

The image above is my grans birthday 31.01.1931 as I feel like if the day she was born is with me she will live in forever like the absolute hero that she was.

just a few ideas of what I mean…

I think these tattoos along with the elephant are so classic and personal to me and would look right on my body. I chose places where the tattoo could not get damaged or stretched through things like pregnancy or anything. I would happily have these tattoos when I am an old woman at least they would have a story behind it about struggle and hard times with a journey and a true hero in my eyes.

Anyway thank you my lovelies for reading this ramble,

All my love,

Primark Haul January 2016

So me and mummy needed some good old retail therapy, so what better time than a Sunday afternoon (surprisingly not busy for once) and I was relatively surprised with my finds. You know that feeling when you go shopping and you don't intend to find anything nice but you find some nice little things and it makes you happier than buying something big like a designer bag I don't know hahaha.

So I first noticed the baggy t-shirts (£4 each) in the new section of Primark (Manchester Piccadilly) with all the lovely striped pieces they had in along with the longer past the knee denim pencil skirts which were rather lovely! I love the kind of baggy top with a chequered shirt and leggings with Timberlands/Converse I'm a comfy shoe kind of girl haha. So I thought when I picked up the white one that grey was so versatile I could really work both colours for dates with Nathan or just going shopping something like that. Alongside those I picked up a knitted pinky/beige cardigan that is knee length that would go lovely with the t-shirts.

Secondly I picked up some cute accessories such as the large black hair bow (£2ish), I'm obsessed with hair bows I have several but I can't resist when I see one. Must be my inner child reaching out and still demanding I need hair bows to make my hair super cute! A few days before this haul I seen a post on Pinterest I think of some festival boho hair with a headband that was like little leaves across the girls forehead with natural curls so I picked up the same headband when I was in store. Along with the bow I also picked up some mixed rose gold stud earrings (£2), I'm obsessed with rose gold so it was only naturally I picked them up especially when there are cute flowers and simple studs that look classic in my helix piercings. Not to mention some thick socks (£1) to wear with my Timberlands which came in a cream and a patterned effect, and 4 pairs of shoe liners or ankle socks to go with my gym trainers or converse etc.
Bow HEAVEN!
Boho headband lushness!
Now Primark have stepped up their game recently in the makeup department, I'm very picky with my skin and don't like to use unfamiliar products on my face however when I do get the odd bit of redness I have nothing to cover it with. So when I seen the PS… Colour Correctors (£1.50 each) I thought I could give it a whirl, so the only colour I knew out of the 4 I think that were there was the green that corrects redness. Silly me however didn't notice that at the bottom it says what the colours do (derpy Zoe moment) yet I am still super excited to try it out. I'm sure if it works out I will be going back to pick up some more and let you all know! Along with the corrector I felt a need to buy some of the Plain false nails (£1) as I had my nails done for Christmas and missed having pretty nails and I must say I love them I decided to buy white and a nudey-pink then had a glorious idea, I'd buy the design ones (£1) with beautiful dreamcatchers on and put one on one nail to mix it up a bit, anyway fabulous nails!

pigmentation and colour of the PS. Colour Correctors...
Coming up to my most exciting part of this blogpost… I picked up the cutest little pinafore dress! I love dungarees/pinafores, I have a black one and a red one which had beautiful rose gold detailing down the side. So when me and my mummy walked past and she said 'look at that Zoe' I was in love, it's so versatile and I can wear it anytime of year with black tights and a long sleeve skirt or in summer with a short sleeved t-shirt or striped top perhaps with converse or something. I had a little trouble finding it in store but for £12 it made me very excited to be adding it to my wardrobe.

Now I am a huge sucker for stationary and picked up the Sparkle Like A Diamond A5 notebook from Velvet Ghost's collection and her sticky note set as little stocking fillers for myself for Christmas and loved them so while I was having a look for some sweeties to nibble on I noticed some post-it notes and a to do list that I thought would look super cute on my tray under my desk with my notebook collection and Velvet Ghost post-it set. I fully debated buying Gabriella's pen and pencil pot and writing set but I don't write letters often haha and I have so many pots like the Ikea plant pots for my brushes and my rose gold Paperchase pot for my Mac Lipliners.

Just wanted to show the Velvet Ghost (Gabriella) range along with my little post-its hehe
I think along with the pinafore dress I was super excited about the range of Disney pj's/clothes and makeup bags they have to offer. I had been looking on Instagram at tags such as 'PrimarkHaul' and found a very cute Beauty and the Beast t-shirt (£7) which I just needed and a very cute The Little Mermaid makeup/wash bag (£5) that says 'Mermaids have more fun' in a navy colour and Ariel on. However the most exciting part of the wash bag was probably the zip! It is a gold ariel silhouette which is so super stunning and it was just the perfect detail to complete the bag. Along with the little Disney collection I mounted up I found the last remanding pairs of Disney Princess pyjama pants that were on sale from £8 to £2 which is a good deal! Alongside the Frozen pyjama pants which were also on sale from £8 to £5 but I absolutely love them!
Just a collection of pictures showing the Disney bits and pieces, including the beautiful Ariel zip on the wash bag.
AND, finally linking to the pyjama night time theme that is going on I picked up a dress gown my firs tin like 10 years for £5 in a lovely grey and white spots effect that is super soft and cosy!

Anyway that's all for my Primark Haul for now, hope you enjoyed and liked seeing the odd bits I picked up while shopping. I can finally wear them now (apart from the earrings and pj bottoms I couldn't resist Sorry) as I've been trying to keep them until I wrote this up. Thank you anyway my lovelies!

Army Relationship : The frequently asked questions...

I have had a recent spark on inspiration when it comes to my blog, wanting to fill it with makeup, fashion and relationship chatter haha. Now I haven't been with Nathan as long as some other relationships but I have been with him long enough to have some experience with how I deal with the distance and hard times.

'Do you not get paranoid with him being away and not knowing what he's doing?'

In all honesty I don't because me and Nathan have been through so much that I know he wouldn't do anything to hurt me. I know how it feels to be cheated on and it is awful and Nathan knows that too and we have a level of mutual respect for each other, he respects what I do and I respect what he does. When you get this far into a serious relationship you don't want to mess around and loose something so lovely, like I have spent a year and a half with Nathan and everything we have done together and grown as individual people would all be a waste. Speaking to other wives/fiances/girlfriends I'm not the only one who has got a message of a jealous girl saying there partner cheated on them while they were deployed etc. Honestly it hurts at first and then i think but would he do that? I know my Nathan and he is always too busy face timing me or on his playstation/eating/sleeping to want to cheat with another girl. As for the not knowing what he's doing its a constant I phoned him early he was having a food fight with his work colleagues so I told him I loved him and said I'd call him later. Yet it works both ways he could be wondering what I'm doing and worrying which he does a lot but he does so much for me and makes me so happy that I'm normally just asleep or shopping haha.

'Do you get jealous seeing him doing all this stuff while your left out?'
YES! YES! YES! It drives me crazy, when he was deployed to Canada which was his biggest deployment yet I was so jealous I have always wanted to go to Canada (maybe it's a hope I'll see Justin Bieber I don't know haha) and just try out the shopping and the lifestyle. But more than anything Nathan got to go sky diving and I was so jealous seeing the videos from it because I would have loved to have done that. I have been to his camp with him twice and I'm always begging him to take me to see tanks and Bulldogs and other vehicles but he can't yet I'm still hoping he might one day haha. He has promised to take me to Canada for a holiday though, however this year I'm not too fussed about where he is going there not that exciting so I don't think I will be jealous of him in the jungle haha!

'How do you deal with being apart so much?'
This is going to sound really mean but when you spend like a few days or a weekend with someone you enjoy a bit of time to yourself, just to get yourself back on track especially for work. My parents respect the fact that I don't know when Nathan will next be home so when he is back for a weekend I spent a lot of time with him. When we first started dating I would see him on a Saturday and then he had Friday night when he got home and Sunday until he left with his family which I still try to stick too.
During deployments however like Canada that was 2 months apart, I had to find myself more hobbies to stick too to pass the time for instance going to the gym so by the time Nathan got back I had lost 2 stone and he was like 'woah new girlfriend haha' and he had become all tanned and tonned from all the working and exercise he had done while out there. However, I also had like silly little things to keep me going like videos of us together like cuddling or messing around that make us laugh and I had a jar that I transferred stones from one to the other for each day he had been gone and when he would be home.
Examples of I coped such as time zone, a special bracelet and symbolic jars.
'Do you think it's rushed getting engaged so quickly and having a family?'
When you start a relationship with someone in the army/navy anything like that your perspective changes massively. Mine didn't straight away I told Nathan I would not get engaged till I was at least 21 and then the more I found out about his job the more my mind changed. Maybe it was the stories Nathan told me they worried me a little, maybe it was him trying to convince me. However, the way you see it is your partner is more at risk of getting hurt even when there at home on camp and your life can change forever. I mean everyone has that risk but there's more chance of a soldier being horrifically injured. So with this risk I suppose you just wanna have as much happiness and adventures in the short time you do have. Honestly it is so hard waiting at home for someone in the army to come home, after Nathan's 2 month deployment I just wanted to hug him so much like I hugged him for a full 5 minutes and I cried I was so happy haha. So when someone makes you so happy you want that to last.

You find a lot though in this kind of case people think there opinions matter just because someone has been together 2/3 years doesn't mean there ready to get married or engaged. Whereas, when you know your a strong couple with loyalty and trust and you wait day and night for someone to get home and still struggle with normal couple things like a family, buying a house and both working while at the same time have to love someone that you can barely see sometimes you know you are ready. Sorry if I sound condescending. But I had someone tell me the other day I haven't been through enough to know I want to get engaged but that was off someone who doesn't know me or my relationship. But I suppose it's always just about what me and Nathan want and as long as we are happy.

'Do you have any specific things that remind you of Nathan?'
I do actually, before he went to Canada he bought me a Build-A-Bear that was camouflage and then I bought the army uniform/boots/hat and backpack and I must say he is VERY cute! Nathan named him after himself SHOCK! But he has a beating heart which Nathan said will remind me of him and know his heart is still beating and a button that I can press and it tells me 'I love you!' which made me smile when he turned up to uni with it for me.

Before I picked up his uniform and boots.
Nathan has bought me so many bears over the past few years, but I also have sentimental pictures of him and special days like our anniversary, Valentine's Day and the day we got engaged. I have certain songs that remind me of Nathan which I will play on repeat when I miss him a lot for instance:
  • Wiz Khalifa ft Charlie Puth - See you again
This song was the song I played on repeat when he was in Canada I know it's about like death and loosing someone but it reminded me so much of Nathan and seeing him again.

  • Meghan Trainor ft John Legend - Like I'm gonna loose you
This is the song I have my heart set on as our first dance song because it's so beautiful and explains that you don't have forever but you have right now and that's all that should matter.

  • Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud
This song is so beautiful! I tried to get Nathan to learn to dance from the video for our first dance but that will not happen he isn't a dancer unless he has been drinking haha! But this was my second choice for our first dance song. I think it's the lyric 'we found love right where we are' which made me think me and Nathan came together by ourselves and we were best friends and just fell for each other.

  • John Legend - All of me
I found a recent love for this song at my friends Amy and Sean's Christmas Wedding who we know because Sean is Nathan's army colleague, it was so beautiful watching them dance to this for there first dance and he sang the song to her the whole time. I actually cried! I won't cramp there style and steal there song but it makes me so happy because I love Nathan the way those two love each other.

  • Christina Perri - A thousand years
Yes the classic Twilight - Breaking Dawn Song! This song was played when Amy walked down the aisle and it was so amazing I cried again hahaha. But this song is so well link with how much I love Nathan and how I will always love him and stand by him. Waiting is a big part of his job and this song talks about waiting a long time for love.

It seems so sentimental and soppy but special things like that do make you happy and how when someone is far away and can't come home it eases the wait.

Well that's all for now and I've answered some of the most asked questions I get a lot, even though they get a bit tiring of answering. Thanks for reading my lovelies!

My MAC Palettes

I've wanted to do this post since I started my blog, because these palette are something I am extremely grateful for as I know not many people have them. When I first saw these online on sites like We Heart It and Pinterest I was like 'woah' and I knew from that moment I wanted one, so I looked how much it cost to create one as the case £10 comes separate from the tray £2.50 due to the case being used for the blush tray as well. The larger palette took around 5/6 months to fill using my babysitting money or as gifts, and the second smaller 4x palette £4.50 took around 2 weeks to fill. With each eyeshadow being £10 each my mum decided when I got the larger palette for Christmas that I would get 5 eyeshadows to start of with (SUPER GENEROUS) at the time I payed £21.50 for my palette and tray together but in the past months it has decreased in price which is always a win.

When I was creating my palette I fell in LOVE with Orange eyeshadow in the large palette bottom right obviously.. after watching LoveLaughandMakeup's youtube video and she used that eyeshadow to add warmth to her look so I knew I have to have it. That was when I decided to do a row of light neutrals such as Shroom and All That Glitters, then browns such as Brown Down and Antiqued leading all the way to the pinky to orange row that consists of Seedy Pearl and Sketch. The palette I created is very winter and autumnal, but there are thousands of options when making a palette like bright eccentric colours or grey palette with neutrals. I debated for a long time after completing my palette whether to do another large palette of light colours like Vanilla eyeshadow with the second row as greys to Carbon Black eyeshadow and then the final row being purple eyeshadows.

A rundown of all my eyeshadows

I decided when I was just about to finish my large palette that when I was travelling if i wanted to just take a few eyeshadows and not either loose or have the larger one stolen i wouldn't feel the pain as much of loosing a smaller one which was why I created my 4x palette which I love equally as much as my large consisting of 2 shimmers and 2 matte shades it is the perfect little quad to start of any makeup kit.

My quad palette
Let me know if you enjoyed this post and comment what kind of palette's you would have/create!

MAC Haul Christmas 2015 & Boxing Day Shopping

Who doesn't love a mac haul? honestly I spend half my time watching Youtube videos or looking at blog posts about mac hauls and then I'm like 'ooh I like that' and end up asking for it haha. In regards to mac in general it is normally gifted to me from family or my boyfriend for special occasions like birthday, christmas or as a treat once in a while. Although when I did well in exams at college or got good grades my mum would take me to mac for a product or two haha. So the products in this blogpost are from Christmas and treats from Nathan and a lipstick I bought myself which is something I rarely do as I more of a gift giver than a buying for myself I'd rather buy something for a family member or Nathan.

So this Christmas I was super excited about the products I had picked out, I had been lusting over the Mineralize Skinfish in Soft and Gentle for so so long since around May/June but never got round to getting it. I had tried it out before in store but was talked into buying a Mineralize Skinfinish in Light which was more like a powder instead than a highlighter. Along with this product I was looking at the pigments as I already have Vanilla, Melon and Blue Brown in my collection along with other none mac pigments such as Inglots Eyeshadow pigment in 85 which is very similar to Blue Brown by mac. So while adventuring through the internet I came across Rose which is in my eyes a rose gold pigment (I have an unhealthy addiction with rose gold/copper) but is also officially described as rose with copper sparkle and a frost finish. This pigment could alone have been my mac gift for christmas because I was so excited about it as it is GORGEOUS! However, you know the deal in mac you go in you ask for what you want and the girls say 'oh have you tried… i love it!' and then it turns into I'll have one of those too haha. Although in the store I wasn't too fussed about anything else but my mum insisted on buying it for me as a gift for getting my first job just before Christmas (she's a lovely lady!). So I ended up walking out with another pigment called 'Naked' which is described as a warm shade with pearlescent undertones which are only noticeable in natural light but makes a subtle highlighter. That is probably one of my favourite things about pigments especially like Vanilla, Melon or Naked they are multi purpose as they can be used as highlights, eyeshadows, blushes or eyeliners and with clear nail polish and a sprinkle of pigment they can be a new nail polish. There is honestly a list of endless possibilities.

On to the lips! So as I mentioned Nathan gifted some of these products to me which were the pro long wear lipliner in Etcetera which is my first Prolong wear lipliner, this was requested to me by the girl in mac that helped me choose my lipstick and she told me that this lipliner went perfectly with Viva Glam II. Described as a creamy beige which works perfectly alongside nude lipsticks, i found it worked perfectly with Velvet Teddy and Viva Glam V yet my favourite look with this lipliner was Velvet Teddy combined with Whirl as it gave a fuller lip appearance.

Alongside Etcetera Nathan also bought me Viva Glam II although I originally went in for Double Shot and it is rather creamy I changed it for this lipstick instead as I found that the combination was a colour I have been looking for for a long time.  I thought this was an incredibly thoughtful gift of Nathan as I never ask to be spoilt like this he just does it anyway, Although these are 2/5 products Nathan has bought me in the past he always does it in a  thoughtful way. Before this he has sent me details to go to the Selfridges pick up point and collect a package which was a paint pot and lip pencil I had been looking at the week before. I suppose he just knows a girl loves her mac makeup hahaha…
Viva Glam II, Brave, Velvet Teddy alongside Whirl.

The other lip pencil I received for Christmas of my parents was Spice which I mentioned in my 'lip pencil collection' blogpost, this lip pencil i had heard many things about and wanted something new like a darker brown for my collection. As I mentioned in my lip liner collection review Spice is described as ''pink cinnamon stick'' but is very warm with orange undertones.

Finally, to my little collection I added two new lipsticks which were Brave and Velvet Teddy. When debating which Christmas lipstick to get I was juggling between Brave and Faux as I love a pinky-brown lipstick so I finally decided on Brave as all the pictures and reviews I had seen made it so appealing. Described as a pink-beige with white pearl, However it is more a muted pink with brown undertones and applied like a semi-matte with a fairly cool tone. This lipstick however works with a lot of my lipliners like Dervish, Boldly Bare and the famous Soar as I chose lipsticks that go with the rest of my collection such as Mehr and Please Me.

Now the last lipstick I received was my treat to myself, I purchased Velvet Teddy after seeing it was in stock on the Mac website I had to have it! Everytime I see it online it is always out of stock so I decided to get it before it was too late. Velvet Teddy is known as a nude pink toned lipstick but does sometimes come off as a brown with red undertone, however I love the colour none the less I wore it for the first time together and felt so confident. I felt like it gave me a fuller pout as I used Soar underneath it (the Kylie Jenner look) and was very pleased with the payoff.  It hold the definition of 'your lips but better' which is very true. But I honestly feel completely grateful for such lovely gifts of my family and Nathan and I will be working all these products for months to come.

What's your favourite lipstick?

My Dream Wedding

So if you didn't already know my job is in the wedding industry as a wedding organiser well an apprentice anyway, and I decorate wedding venues for many a happy couple and other events such as christenings and parties. So obviously I have put a little thought into my wedding especially a colour scheme and how I want it to look overall. So I thought I would share that in a blog post plus it is always a helpful look back for me when it comes time for me and Nathan to plan our wedding. So as many of you know Nathan is a soldier in the army and I want that to be a big part of our big day so I had a little scroll through my Pinterest boards and found a few inspirational photos to display my ideas.

The Colour Scheme.

I had to think very carefully about how I want to incorporate my colour scheme with Nathan's army number 2's which is what we both want him to wear when he gets married, you can get another suit in navy but me and him both love the suit he normally wears for weddings and such which is a khaki Green colour. So when taking that into consideration I thought my wedding colours could be lilac, khaki green with hints of white which would be easy to portrays in flowers, and the venue that I chose does colour schemes where they can put purple lights in and white drapes to suit whatever colour scheme.

Floral ideas for the colour scheme
The Venue.
So I live in Manchester so that's a big industrial city where there is little country-side type venues to fall in love with without them being next to a motorway or in the middle of nowhere. However, I was lucky enough to have my prom at my dream wedding venue and I instantly fell in love with the place. It's very rustic and barn-estique with the wrapped fairy lights and drapes across the ceiling with chandeliers which I would love to add my own decorative ideas too also. Linking with the colour scheme and how I mentioned the drapes and lights you can see from the below image how it would all work together. But it will cost alot I can tell already haha...

The Dress.
Before I wanted to be a wedding organiser I wanted to work in a bridal shopping either owning my own as my final goal or making dresses but then I found making clothes rather simple and I wanted a larger challenge and I had always loved interior design and things like that which drew me to wedding organising and decorating venues. So obviously I thought of what dress I would love, I'm not one for the big Cinderella style dresses I love the fitted at the waist then spread out into a train at the bottom I think those kind are utterly beautiful with the longest veil to flow down the back.

Incorporating the Army.
I owe a lot of credit for this to Pinterest, Pinterest is a LIFE SAVER. It has given me so many ideas over the years I can't even explain how much i LOVE that site haha. So I spent a while looking at searches like 'army wedding' and not a lot came up but when i put in 'army party' I got a lot of ideas such as crates spray painted with 'ammo' on the side with grenade shaped cake pops inside which I fell in love with, along with a special way to layer coloured cake mix (marbling) to create camouflage looking cakes. Not to mention cupcakes with icing grass and army men on the top which I would be more than happy to offer guests at my wedding. But most of all I loved the signs like Mess Hall or Command Post which could look good outside hung up or around the venue along with a table for the wedding favour bags shown in the images.

The Cake.
So as I mentioned above I found a special way to layer cake icing to look like camouflage very similar to the cupcakes and when I thought about it camouflage is meant to hide a person so I thought of doing that inside the cake and layered with chocolate icing between the layers and then covering with white icing and simple white flowers such as babies breath and other small delicate flowers.

Top: the layered camouflage cake mix Bottom: the outside of the cake.
The Cars.
So when I thought about cars I wanted to keep it really traditional, I mean I thought of a few eccentric ideas like an army jeep for Nathan and his boys. However, for me and the bridesmaids (which is around 9 of us) I was thinking the traditional old fashioned cars or maybe a camper van perhaps but more than anything I love the traditional cars and a sporty type for afterwards for Nathan to drive to the venue. Then I came across the vintage buses for wedding guests which I would love for close friends and family to go from the church to the venue as the venue is rather far away from the church I believe.

His Suit.
In regards to Nathan's suit I already mentioned we both would want him to wear his 'number 2's' which is army term for his like army suit which is issued to him and hopefully all his work colleagues would come in theirs too. But there will be important family members such as his dad and his little cousins who need special suits too so it is only fair they get a special section of this post to say what me and Nathan are thinking about. I would LOVE for his little cousins to wear like suits but without the jacket and little flowers in there top pockets with braces that would be ADORABLE. But I'm thinking that grey suits would be nice like nice and light is what I want for the wedding so like lilac and light grey and white and the darkest possible colour would be the khaki green but hopefully the pictures give some idea of what I was thinking…

The Bridesmaids.
In regards for my bridesmaids at the minute I'm thinking of around 6/8 depends who I am still close with when the time comes haha. But I was debating having all the same dress but at the same time I want each bridesmaid to be different so some with like straps some with one shoulder some with a sweet heart bust so each of them felt special but all the same colour and same hairstyle with matching flowers. But I love the thought of the long to the floor Greek goddess style dresses that flow beautifully with little white and lilac dresses for the flower girls.

and finally… Making It Personal.
So as a wedding organiser I want to make the wedding personal, recently I went to an army wedding of close friends and mine and Nathan's and their wedding was amazing! They had like a ferris wheel of sweets and a a photo booth which is something I would love to also do. However, I have always wanted the big LOVE letter lights you can get but at the same time I was thinking like N & Z lights instead to make it more personal with like little quote plaques and things like that scattered around the tables and food areas. There is something that i would love to do at my wedding however, so when I was in high school I lost my gran to cancer and she promised me she would be at my prom and my wedding. So to me it is really coincidental that I found my dream wedding venue in my prom venue and I could never forget it from my mind. Sorry! went a little of track anyway on my top table among babies breath and other flowers and like lanterns on my families side I would love to have a picture of my gran and on Nathan's side a picture of his great grandad that died just before he joined the army as tributes to them as I know they would love to have been there and see their grandchildren take such a huge step in life. I also think a fun idea would be to choose special ages in mine and Nathan's life like the day we were born and a picture of us for table 0 or 1 then table 16 the age Nathan was when he joined the army and a picture of the day he joined something like that. So here are a few ideas….

So there were my ideas for my dream wedding hopefully I can do a 'My Dream Wedding Part 2' and upload more things such as the church and food and wedding favours and so on. But this was just a taster of my ideas so far. But Anyway thank you for reading this, All my love…
