10 things only army couples find romantic!

With compromises and missed anniversaries as a definite there is still time for romance for us army/military couples. Although we find it in the little things rather than a surprise trip to Paris, I guess it comes with a sense off big surprises are hard to plan and come by when you never know if your partner is being sent away tomorrow or next week. You never really know how far into the future you can plan, especially when you are just starting out. However, when we do have those romantic moments they probably aren't as huge but more sentimental and meaningful. 

1. Seeing his/her face on Skype is wonderful, meaning that Skype dates are also acceptable even for a few minutes while you eat together or just talk about your day. I frequently watch a film in my room on Facetime to Nathan and he will watch it in his room at camp and even though it's not 100% the same it still works. Like right now for instance, I am typing this up and Nathan is fast asleep after doing a 24 hour guard duty Softy hahaha
2. Seeing that smile they do, especially when you see each other for the first time in weeks/months.
3. Actually spending your anniversary together on the actual day not rescheduling and doing it 3 weeks from that day hahaha...
4. When he rolls his sleeves up mmm... hey a girl doesn't mind seeing her soldier doing work once in a while hahaha sorry!
5. Wearing his uniform during a Skype call/Facetime - it is always lovely for them to make time during their busy day to stop in and check on you and if their in uniform even better because lets be honest a uniform makes every man look better..
6. Seeing cool videos of him working on the ranges - now this is my all time favourite thing to see, I get really interested in Nathan's job and to see him firing mortars or any type of gun is pretty cool. Especially when he records them just for me...
7. When he picks up food for the both of you on the way home, mmm KFC! Hey when you are waiting up till like 12 or something for him/her to drive home and they bring food I have no complaints!
8. When he takes you on base/camp so he can have the best of both worlds! Besides the Hannah Montana reference it is just nice to be in Nathan's room with just him being like a couple with our own place it gives you a concept of how things will be for the future...
9. When he/she rings first, it makes you actually feel like they missed you. Sometimes this is the case especially when you have had a crappy day and they call just to check up and tell you they love you. That's all you need...
10. Finally, when they tell you they were telling there friends about you, I kind of like this because Nathan does say nice things most times about how he likes I will play Playstation with him and like go to laser quest and mini golf and sometimes just act like a boy rather than a girly girl. Hopefully he always says good things haha...
