January Favourites 2016

So it's a little late but I wanted to be 100% sure that I am happy with my choices. I have chosen 16 products from a range of skincare, makeup, clothes and homeware. All are from a range of brands such as MAC, Soap and Glory, Primark and Timberlands some being old favourites and some are new favourites. So here are my January Favourites 2016 edition...

Skincare...

Starting with the
Soap & Glory face soap & Clarity 3 in 1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Face Wash £8

So this little product is a wonder, reminds me a lot of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish as it removes excess makeup after using a makeup wipe or any other makeup remover. It makes my skin feel so unbelievably clean and fresh, it has become a staple in my morning and night time routine as I use it to cleanse my skin before I put my makeup on and also after my shower at night time to remove any left over makeup. It was created to smooth and purify the skin for super clean fresh, brighter skin, personally I believe this is a true statement and highly recommend it. Considering it recommends on the bottle to us a small amount like a pea size it will last so long I have had this since December and there is at least 8 months of product left.

Lush Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment £2 each

This was a new product for me and was my first new lush product I had to try in my bath. A sweet scented bath oil to soothe the skin with marshmallow and marigold powders. Lush claim it will either remind you of dolly mixtures or candyfloss but 100% reminds me of candyfloss which I love. It's like another option for Snow fairy and Candy mountain during the earlier seasons when they aren't available. Once I used these my skin felt so soft and silky and smelt amazing so I am super excited to try the other 3 I have.

Make-up...

Starting with the make-up section I have chosen 4 products that I have fell in love with massively and use them pretty much every day given a mix up from time to time.

So the first two being MAC'S Whirl Lipstick & Velvet Teddy Lipstick £15.50 each

So from my blog it's known I am a huge MAC fan I have altogether 9 lipsticks now and craving MAC'S Stone Lipstick as my tenth. These two however were new lipsticks to me, I picked up whirl earlier around September and I was so unsure of it I didn't like it at first too dark for me. However, the more I got into the brown toned lipsticks I fell for it. Whereas Velvet Teddy I had seen as this craved about lipstick and I did like the colour of it after seeing it on friends and Youtubers. So when I see it in stock on the mac website I had to have it and treated myself to it for a little monthly treat. Safe to say I love it now along with Whirl and Velvet Teddy is a perfect pink toned nude matte compared to Whirl which is a dirty rose colour or more of a deep rose brown.

Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Eye Concealer (Light) £7.99

According to Maybelline this does more than just cover, it's coloured pigments perfect the under eye area covering flawlessly. Enriched with goji berry the formula cares for the eye area that suffers from a hectic social life and lack of sleep. MY LIFE TO A T!! The colour pay of for this product is wonderful and apart from the Nars Creamy Concealer £18 is the only product that cover under eyes perfectly, the smell is also a win and works well with my final makeup product.

L'oreal Lumi Magique Foundation (Rose Pearl) £10.99

This foundation is amazing for several reasons! It has a flawless coverage, it smells lovely and works well as a base and is in ROSE GOLD PACKAGING! I bought this in mid 2015 and i was uming and aghing if I liked it but recently I gave it a whirl as I love the L'oreal True Match. I have noticed L'oreal are awesome for their foundation coverage and the price is similar to many other drugstore foundations such as Bourjois and Rimmel.

Fashion...

Tan Timberlands £160

I have wanted Timberlands for such a long time, honestly now I don't know Where I would be without them they are beautiful and so versatile! The normal price for them is £160 however I picked mine up from Cheshire Oaks with Nathan for £100 and they have been my favourite purchase for such a long time. The only downfall to these is the fact I have the wear my jeans or leggings tucked into them because if there laced too tight on my leg it hurts. However, they fit perfectly and look so nice.

Calvin Klein T-shirt Bra Modern Cotton (Purple) £28

Another Cheshire Oaks purchase this was a gift of Nathan, I love this it's so soft and so pretty! I love the classic logo tag along the back straps of the bra and it is my most comfortable bra. I have matching knickers to this so I love wearing them together, I suppose matching underwear is a small success in life haha. Anyway, well worth the money and will definitely purchase more as well as the sports bra's.

Green Split Side jumper £5 Redd

I love my high end clothes Topshop and New Look but one of my best chummy's works in Redd and she bought me this as she knew I loved edgy tops with the split sides and long enough to cover my bum. This jumper is a new favourite and staple in my wardrobe as I love to wear it with dark blue skinny jeans and my timberlands as it is the perfect combination for this weather. I swear I have worn this outfit 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Everyone enjoys an outfit repeat hahaha. Sorry for the picture it is so hard to get a picture of the jumper haha...

Homeware...

Starting homeware with a classic favourite a Yankee Candle in  Candy Cane Lane £10.99

So me and Nathan visited the Yankee Candle Shop at Cheshire Oaks and he treated me to this candle and picked it all by himself! It smells heavenly as it is a Peppermint and Vanilla scent. This is sweet but the Peppermint just makes it unbelievable! Sadly this is only a Christmas Scent but I will be repurchasing another before they are all gone!

Primark Fleecey Bedding £5

I found this when I was returning an item, it was reduced to £5 and has this gorgeous pastel colour aztec print on it. It fits in perfectly with my room and the feel of it is on another level! It is so soft and as described fleecey, for me it is a whole new way of sleeping as it soothes me to sleep in minutes. So so stunning!

Lalab Polaroids £6

I ordered these around Christmas as I do not have a polaroid camera so ordering some online and choosing the pictures from my Instagram was the best idea. These arrived within a few days and the colour and quality of these are unreal, you can caption the images as well so I ordered some for my mum and Nathan as well. I ordered Nathan's specifically for Nathan's notice board in his room at camp and mine to go on my walls. But I have currently relocated them to my door with a cute quote board from Primark.

Matalan Copper Baskets £10 for both

So recently I have been redecorating my room with touches of rose gold/copper and I found a lot of copper things surprisingly on the Matalan website so I ordered these. The small basket was amazingly only £4 and the larger was £6, so well worth the money. The size of them are good for putting on my desks and they tie well with the pink and white theme of my room.

Reeves Acrylic 75ml (Copper) £2.50

I purchased this paint in order to paint some of old home decor such as brush pots and lanterns etc. It works so well although it took two/three coats on some products it gives a true copper colouring. It goes along well with my copper baskets and other copper pieces in my room and I am thoroughly impressed given the cost. I was able to experiment with different kinds of objects such as the ikea skurar pots and the cactaceae pots.

Mandala Tapestry (Pink) Amazon £6.91

blue Alternative
My lovely best chummy Emily introduced me to these as she showed me hers and I fell in love! There is a huge range of them on Amazon including this one in a blue alternative, not to mention some awesome elephant print ones in black and white. I love mandala prints and I'm debating getting a tattoo of one because they are so beautiful. But overall, so worth the price and a beautiful addition to any bedroom as they are super popular and very 'tumblr' at the minute haha.

Well those are my January favourites hope you enjoyed them and gave some inspiration or need to try out some of these,

All my love,
